This morning as I was taking Ruth to preschool she says, out of the blue:
"Mom, I wish we had a beautifuller house."
Not exactly what I want to hear from my 4 year old first thing in the morning, especially when we just spent $40,000 remodeling our house. It does not bode well...

what did you upgrade/remodel? (I've only been to your house once, for the olympics...but I"m curious what you did)
We redid about half of our house. We added a pantry (by gutting our old bathroom) in the kitchen, added a bathroom in the back room, split our big back bedroom into two rooms and our old middle bedroom into a new bathroom, got all new windows and doors, replaced our water heater and all of our plumbing, and put in central air and a new heater. It took a while this summer, but was totally worth it. We needed the extra bathroom and decided to do the other upgrades while we were at it.
